Canvas Overview
Canvas is a temporary chair designed by YOY studio for Innermost. It is available as a sofa or chair and simply leans against a wall.
A surreal cartoon feel where the impossible happens; lounge effortlessly on a 2 dimensional image leaning against a wall. A clever construction of structured fabrics hidden within make it possible. Canvas’ cover is removable and machine washable.
Canvas was designed by YOY in Tokyo and launched by Innermost in September 2013 at Designjunction. Innermost founders Steve Jones and Russell Cameron spotted the design in Milan in April at the Satelliti event and were impressed by the distance YOY had already brought the product and technical issues they had overcome. Winner of Design For Asia Awards 2014 – Merit Recognition.
