Brixton Spot Overview
Brixton is a range of lighting by designer James Bartlett.
This spot pendant was inspired by Victorian architecture- particularly the octagonal turrets that he noticed on railway and residential buildings. These turrets originated from medieval castles and later became popular in Victorian architecture, conveying an impression of wealth, power and strength. Bartlett used these forms as the starting point for his design, which has a strong, engineered aesthetic.
The unit extrusion acts as a heat sink for the LED. The slots in the side allow light to glint through and provide interesting reflections on the walls.
The spot pendants are available in 3 different sizes: 4.3”, 7.8” & 20”. Brixton Spot is available in 3 finish options: gloss white, anodised copper and graphite, giving a wide number of installation possibilities, with a solid, industrial feel.
Our friend Sawyer talks us through the features and inspirations behind the design in this vibrant video about the Brixton range.
